Interior Design/Stylist-Embrace YOUR Luxury

Yes, I am back!!! It is the first week of the One Room Challenge. The laundry room transformation is ready to come to life. First, I want to give a round of applause to ORC’s Tenth Year. Love it!! This is my third time participating in the One Room Challenge. As I have mentioned in some previous posts, this is the schedule for completing my home projects.

Spring is a busy time, so I like to keep it small in my home. These 8 weeks will sneak up on you. My last ORC was Spring 2021, and I completed my entryway. Now moving from the front to the back of the house.
Honestly, it wasn’t on my list to participate this season. I really wanted to wait until the fall challenge. As time went on, a smaller project seemed great to get off my to-do list. The plan for the fall is to take on a bigger project. Perhaps my garage or backyard this fall. I know I will need some help in the laundry to remove the one shelf that is up (see below). Slow and steady progress for a good project outcome.

More importantly, the only item I have is a narrow bookcase from Ikea. This bookcase has been out of stock for the longest time. I knew that item was the one I needed in this transformation. The space is small. I checked Ikea’s website almost daily for an in-stock reading. Once I saw IN STOCK, it was a stop-everything-and-get-that-bookcase-home. It has been housed in my garage. Granted, I have not inspected or opened the box yet. These shelves at Ikea have been lacking for a while. Nothing is really stocked these days, so I need this bookcase to be in good shape.
Looking forward to the weeks ahead as I transform my laundry. I will share the moodboard next week on Instagram.
Happy 10th Anniversary ORC!!
