Bye Week…Not
This is not a bye week. In sports, a bye week is a week the team does not play any games. It’s all work over here in week 4 of the One Room Challenge.
As mentioned, my inspiration for this shelf came from Pinterest. I was on the hunt to find someone to build it for me. Dawn, a fellow designer recommended Dinwood Studio. After reviewing their feed, I sent them a message regarding my needs. They were able to meet the timeline to execute the shelf and kept the project moving.

Next, I decided to use Caviar SW6990 from the Sherwin-Williams Emerald collection. Caviar is a nice neutral black with a little brown in it. It pairs well with my bathroom cabinets. Need to get the final coat on.

Time-out
The wallpaper is going up this weekend. I thought I was going to have it completed to include in this blog post. I had to take a time-out for client work this week. Which required me to adjust my project timeline. I expect the time-outs along the way. I thought about getting a pro for the wallpaper installation. Texas is booming with construction and schedules do not sync. With the shelf in place, I will handle the wallpaper.

Let’s say, I do not like the feeling of something defeating me. That trait is something I had in common with my bonus dad (may he rest in peace). I remember the last project we worked on together last year. A cabinet for my mom that was getting the best of us. We took a break. When I was ready to start again, he was walking out of his room at the exact time to help. He said, “You’re like me, you don’t want to feel like something defeated you.” I replied “nope.” We proceeded to build without any further issues. Rest well SP.
The next step is to prep the walls for the wallpaper. I look forward to sharing the progress next week. Getting the win! You can read the previous blog here.
