What’s happing now? This is the episode of some pivots. Hey, are you a fan of the tv show ‘This is Us’? I will admit, I did not get into it the show years ago. But I recently started watching the show and these episodes got me. The flow of the show is amazing. I am invested. I love how the backstories are presented in every episode. The past and present depictions are brilliant.
Well, we are here in week two of the One Room Challenge. The back story this week includes another pivot. I remember the challenge I had during the fall with getting the large bathroom mirror down. That was something. In the present weeks, I had to make a change.
What’s happing now?
I had to select another light fixture. Sourcing that piece was a pleasure. Making sure items are in stock and available to shop immediately is the name of the game. I cannot wait to share the plan with you all next week. Adding character to my almost-four-year-old home is pretty fun. My home is a blank slate. There is a great feeling going room by room to add my personality to my home.

In the meantime, painting and staining are what’s happening now. As you saw in the before picture posted last week, the door is already dark brown. There is one option I considered for a darker door. Sherwin-Williams Tricorn Black (SW 6538), which is my favorite black to use. I am taking on the front door painting myself. The Emerald line at Sherwin-Williams is easy to use and the coverage is good. The stain change is happening on the entryway table.

My entryway planning is such a mood. It’s all about what you want to see. Things are changing and the family is on board for this season. See you guys next week with another entryway progress update.
